TITLE: Lease Accountant
Location: Daytona Beach, FL Hybrid
Compensation Range: 70-85k

About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lease Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in a hybrid environment. Our company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of lease accountant. This individual will perform monthly general ledger accounting tasks necessary to record and update the Company's accounting records.
What You'll Do - Key Accountabilities

• Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
  
  
  
  • 
    
  • Various month-end close responsibilities to ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial results
    
    
    
    • 
      
    • Prepare journal entries including accruals, for monthly, quarterly and year-end close
      
      
      
      • 
        
      • Lease Accounting in accordance with ASC842
        
        
        
        • 
          
        • Account reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts, including the verification of data for completeness and accuracy
          
          
          
          • 
            
          • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports in a timely manner
            
            
            
            • 
              
            • Monitor activity in various general ledger accounts, including all rent related accounts, logistic, transportation and various other accounts
              
              
              
              • 
                
              • Participate in quarterly, interim, and year-end audits, including preparing supporting materials
                
                Skills & Experience
                
                
                • 
                  
                • Bachelor's degree from a four year accredited university is a plus
                  
                  
                  
                  • 
                    
                  • 3-5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience
                    
                    
                    
                    • 
                      
                    • Organized and able to handle a large volume of transactional
                      
                      
                      
                      • 
                        
                      • Working knowledge of an ERP system required, preferably PeopleSoft
                        
                        
                        
                        • 
                          
                        • Experience with the reconciliation of complex accounts
                          
                          
                          
                          • 
                            
                          • Aptitude and willingness to learn new software applications
                            
                            
                            
                            • 
                              
                            • Thorough understanding of accounting rules under US GAAP
