Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week /n /n/n /n Shift: Nights,
7:00 pm 7:00 am (with weekend rotation) /n /n/n /n Location:
AdventHealth Daytona Beach 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona
Beach, FL 32117 /n /n/n /n The role you'll contribute: /n /n/n /n
Responsible for coordinating and providing comprehensive vascular
access care for patients of all ages. This role includes assessing,
planning, implementing, and evaluating care in alignment with
regulatory standards and organizational best practices.
Collaborates effectively with physicians and members of the
interdisciplinary care team to support exceptional, compassionate,
and evidence-based whole- person care. /n /n/n /n The value you'll
bring to the team: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Follows CDC guidelines for
sterile technique and isolation, demonstrates appropriate use of
PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety
regulations. /n /n - Manages and intervenes appropriately for the
patient with current venous access issues, including
prioritization, appropriate venous access choice for age, therapy,
and any current complications impact on the needs for IV therapy.
/n /n - Participates in practice changes resulting from performance
improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards
and initiatives. /n /n - Evaluates the need for and provide patient
teaching in all aspects of the venous access specialty. /n /n -
Identifies individualized plan of care based on patients needs
related to both infusion therapy and venous access consult and
intervenes appropriately. /n /n - Evaluates patients developmental
level, identify increased physical/emotional dependency needs, and
evaluate the availability of support systems consistent with
assessment. /n /n - Performs and documents all procedures and
assessments according to department policy. /n /n - Obtains patient
assessment, evaluating diagnosis, previous medical history,
existing infusion-related complications, and ordered therapy as it
relates to current venous access consult. /n /n - Administers
treatments and medications, interprets and verifies physician
orders, and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. /n /n/n
/n/n /n The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: /n
/n/n /n Minimum qualifications: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Associate of
Science degree in Nursing /n /n - Current State of Florida or
Multi-state licensure as a Registered Nurse /n /n - Current Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification /n /n - PICC, Port and Peripheral
Intravenous Access validation /n /n/n /n/n /n Preferred
qualifications: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Bachelor of Science degree in
Nursing /n /n - Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certification /n /n - Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC)
