All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: Full Time /n /n/n /n Shift :Days /n /n/n /n The community you'll be caring for : AdventHealth Daytona Beach - 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Daytona Beach, 32117 /n /n/n /n The role you'll contribute: /n /n/n /n This specifically trained nurse is responsible for participating in the surgical suite to function in the role of Circulator and assist the surgeon in performing surgical procedures. The RN Circulator has knowledge of instrumentation, sterile technique, and in following AORN guidelines during the care of the surgical patient. The RN Circulator maintains a safe surgical environment during the perioperative course. Responsibilities include the planning, administering and/or supervising of nursing activities during the Perioperative and intraoperative care of the patient. The RN Circulator is responsible to adhere to the Adventist Health System Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all the rules and regulations of applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Assists in any other tasks directed by the specialty coordinator/charge or manager of the CVOR. The RN may be assigned to the scrub role or second assistant based on the level of training and experience. /n /n/n /n The value you'll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Utilizes his/her knowledge and skills in giving safe and effective nursing care. /n /n/n /n - Carries out those activities delegated by the physician which may concern medications, treatment, and diagnostic measures of the patient. /n /n/n /n - Receives and accompanies the Perioperative and Pre-Procedural patient to the Operating Suite. /n /n/n /n - Uses time, effort and material economically. /n /n/n /n - Maintains thorough and complete record of each patients perioperative procedure according to established standards of care. /n /n/n /n/n /n The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n Minimum qualifications : /n /n/n /n/n /n - Current registered nurse license with the Florida State Board of Examiners. /n /n/n /n - Current BLS. /n /n/n /n - ACLS is required within one year. /n /n/n /n/n /n Preferred qualifications : /n /n/n /n/n /n - One to two years of general nursing experience in an acute care setting. /n /n/n /n - Two to three years in an acquired specialty; OR CVOR, or Cath Lab. /n /n/n /n - CNOR preferred. /n /n/n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
