Please contact Mr. Sands with questions at 386-304-0086.JOB PURPOSE: -To provide professional support for designing and implementing effective mathematics instruction that will enhance learning opportunities for all students.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):1. Implement district-identified mathematics initiatives and curriculum mapping in mathematics using Curriculum Guides and district-adopted textbooks2. Create and deliver model classroom demonstration lessons3. Exhibit excellent planning and organizational skills to handle paperwork and recordkeeping tasks in a timely and efficient manner4. -Model the use of technology as a mathematics instructional tool5. Prepare and maintain accurate reports and all related forms and submit to Principal as required7. Participate in professional organizations and inservice opportunities to continually update knowledge base8. -Expedite assigned duties with minimal supervision9. Work as part of a team by establishing and maintaining working relationships that foster efficiency and productivity and promote cooperation with administrators, fellow employees, students, faculty and the public10. -Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and teaching skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders and to enhance collaborative decision-making11. Strong organization, planning, management, and decision-making skills ---12. Ability to implement identified "best practices" in mathematics13. Ability to implement accelerated learning in mathematics for low achieving students14. Effective teaching practices, use of adaptive technology, and behavior/classroom management15. -Ability to communicate with school-based and district staff on professional, specific and general areas of exceptional student education16. Ability to work harmoniously and cooperatively with both professional staff and school community17. Ability to provide leadership as a member of the instructional team --- Ability to use both manipulatives and tools of technology18.
