Job Description:

IMSA seeks a Manager, Communications for its Integrated Marketing Communications department. Responsible for comprehensive media outreach to promote IMSA both in race markets and outside race markets, as well as facilitating opportunities with endemic media. Approximate travel: 35%, including many weekends during the racing season. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following: Lead the crisis / incident communication efforts and the company's traditional media monitoring and measurement initiatives.Lead IMSA's media outreach efforts and relationship building in assigned event markets to reach a broad range of sports, business and general interest media outlets including broadcast, print and online.Lead development and implementation of per-event communications plans targeting three main strategic objectives: television viewership, event attendance and share of voice.Play a leadership role in organizing and facilitating media tours, other major in-market events and the sanctioning body's annual Media Day.Become a key point of contact for endemic motorsports media, providing information and facilitating requests for interviews and other media needs.Point of contact for season-long media credentials (hard cards). Coordinate parking, media center, and single-event credential needs with event promoters.Provide communications support for one of IMSA's single-make series which includes publicity, race coverage and coordination of historical record keeping of series.Play a vital role in development of at-event incident communications activities and meetings.Assist with organizing press conferences and moderation as needed.Assist with executive support, including messaging / interview preparation, presentations / speech writing and high-value strategic media pitching and placements and provide support for broadcast outlets among other areas.Lead the company's qualitative and quantitative traditional media monitoring and measurement activities.Provide support for the television and radio broadcast partners and provide assistance with storyline ideas/ shaping.Assist with run of show and script development for post-season awards celebrations and other special events.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and four (4) years public relations, corporate communications, and/or media relations experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong AP style writing experience Apply Now!We are a company unlike any other in the world.
