The Orthopedic Clinic is seeking an upbeat candidate that has previous medical assisting or EMT experience to join our dynamic team as a Medical Assistant with MA or EMT Certification.The Medical Assistant will work directly under the supervision of our Orthopedic surgeons and will be accountable for creating an exceptional patient experience, while ensuring accurate, efficient and effective clinical operational practices are followed. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient care management, execute administrative and clinical procedures, and ensure a smooth patient flow. This role requires exemplary customer service skills, problem solving, organizational skills and strong attention to detail.We believe every patient should receive the best possible care, our practice offers an array of services specializing in general orthopedics, spine care, sports reconstruction, adult reconstruction and non-surgical treatments. We currently have eleven Orthopedic Surgeons, one Interventional Pain Management Physician, Mid-Level Providers, and a Physical Therapy team who serve patients at four locations within Volusia and Flagler counties.What the Certified / Registered Medical Assistant will do:--- Triage patients--- Take vital signs--- Observe and report patients' signs and symptoms--- Collect and prepare all necessary notes, diagnostic test results/images for the physician's clinic to insure smooth operations--- Cast/splint patients, complete dressing changes, remove suture/staples, apply DME--- Assist with patient examinations and procedures--- Enter accurate, detailed HPI in the electronic health record--- Covers for other staff at the front desk as asked, including coverage at other locations Requirements:Experience and Abilities:--- Valid medical certification (CMA/CNA/EMT) from an accredited program--- Minimum of High School Diploma with two years of medical experience in an accredited health care facility--- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, EHR software applications, preferably Athena--- Valid Driver's License / Clean Driving Record/ Proof of auto insuranceFull compensation package to include: competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD.
