Schedule: Per Diem Shift : Varied Shifts Location: AdventHealth Daytona Rehab Services Department The community you'll be caring for: 301 Memorial Medical Parkway Daytona Beach, FL The role you'll contribute: Specializes in helping patients recover from illness, injury, or disabilities. Works with them to restore function, mobility, and quality of life. Uses a variety of techniques, exercises, equipment, and assistive devices to help patients improve their physical, cognitive, and psychological abilities and regain independence. The value you'll bring to the team: Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques. Establishes, implements, and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care (including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities and frequency). Documents accurately, completely, and timely with legible handwriting. Uses measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policy and procedures Identifies the need for patient/caregiver education and utilizes each opportunity for teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis, including discharge recommendations. Documents education and understanding as appropriate. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed : Minimum qualifications : Masters degree Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license Preferred qualifications: 1 years clinical experience, Acute Inpatient SLP setting 1 Interpretation of video fluoroscopic/MBSSI studies 1 Dysphagia This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
