WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Jacksonville, Florida. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a surgical technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Job Function: Night Shift. 3X8:-7am-3pm. Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures. Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy. Prepare patients for surgery as requested. Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed. Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques. Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation. Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed. Job Requirements: Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program. Preferred they hold a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). BLS preferred (American Heart Association). 3 months working as a CST.
