Job Description:
Ascension seeks a dedicated and skilled Lead Nuclear Medicine
Technologist to join our faith-based healthcare organization. This
pivotal role involves leading the nuclear medicine team, overseeing
the use of complex imaging equipment to diagnose and treat
diseases. The ideal candidate will exemplify our core values,

personalized patient care. Manage the daily operations of the
nuclear medicine department, ensuring compliance with safety
standards and regulatory requirements. Supervise and train nuclear
medicine technicians and support staff. Perform and oversee the
preparation, administration, and measurement of radioactive
isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies. Maintain
and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment to ensure it operates
efficiently and safely. Collaborate with radiologists and other
healthcare professionals to interpret scan results and develop
treatment plans. Enhance departmental performance through
technological upgrades and implementing innovative imaging
techniques. Ensure all patient records and data are handled in
compliance with privacy regulations and best practices. Proficient
in the use of nuclear medicine technology and radiopharmaceuticals.
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth
knowledge of radiation safety and current health regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex medical imaging
devices. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or
equivalent required. Board certification by the Nuclear Medicine
Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
