Description: This position is focused on wound care, working Monday
through Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. The primary location will serve
the highest volume of consults. Contractors are expected to float
to cover community hospitals when necessary. The team consists of
WOCNs and one Per Diem Wound Care RN managing multiple hospitals.
Each community hospital has one assigned WOCN with additional
support from full-time and part-time WOCNs. This role requires
floating for wound consults at various hospitals, dependent on unit
need. On-call duties are not required. Weekend coverage is not
required. Candidates should have experience managing various types
of wounds and ostomies. Key skills include assessment and
management of different ulcer types, as well as stoma and catheter
care. Knowledge of wound care products and techniques is essential,
including but not limited to debridement methods and
vacuum-assisted closure therapy. Candidates must be able to work
collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical
therapy, social services, and pharmacy. The daily patient
population will include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and
geriatrics. Applicants should be prepared for a Variable daily
