40 General Description: The Practice Manager is responsible for
promoting and demonstrating Parrish Healthcares Culture of Choice;
effective selection, onboarding, training and performance
management of assigned Care Partners; active and effective
participation in ensuring strategic (Game Plan) goals for assigned
functional area are met or exceeded; provides the management and
oversight necessary to ensure assigned functional area has the
proper resources, metrics and talent in place to effectively
fulfill our mission to provide Healing Experiences for Everyone all
the Time. The Practice Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and
accountability for assigned functional area. This position reports
to the AVP, Medical Group Operations. Key Responsibilities: HEALING
COMMUNITIES | GROWTH Manages daily operations within assigned
functional area(s) to anticipate current /future service solutions.
Manages implementation of growth strategies to support achievement
of Parrish Healthcare Game Plan goals. Assures the achievement of
departmental dashboard metrics within each strategic pillar
(People, Service, Quality, Growth, Finances); takes immediate and
effective steps to assure national benchmarks are achieved or
sustained. Oversees daily schedule for assigned providers, to
include verifying applicable templates are followed and patients
scheduled appropriately. HEALING EXPERIENCES | SERVICE Manages
assigned functional areas systems, processes, policies, and
procedures that result in assigned area of responsibility and care
partners always providing service excellence as measured by
national best-practice benchmarks. Directs, supervises and is
responsible for all patient care and related activities of the
office(s). Troubleshoots problems and serves as patient advocate to
explain services in question, addresses concerns and handles
complaints. Supervises multiple physicians, providers and staff to
include adhering to the annual budget for maximum cost containment.
Conducts and documents staff, provider, morning huddle meetings and
any and all in-services. Recommends and/or assists in the
preparation of the assigned functional area(s) budgets, to include
ensuring office(s) operates within budgetary allocations,
coordinate office purchasing, stock and or par levels, to include
storage and utilization. SYSTEM RELIABILITY | QUALITY & SAFETY
Manages and fosters a continuous improvement environment within
which assigned area and care partners always achieve national
best/leading-practice standards for quality and safety as measured
by CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies pertinent
to area of responsibility, holding self and others accountable for
actions and outcomes. Responsible for the adherence to all Parrish
Healthcare policies and procedures as well as regulations and codes
established by federal, state, and local governments affecting
professional practice and industry regulations. Manages necessary
certification, accreditation, and audit procedures; and ensures
that reports required by management and/or regulatory agencies are
prepared and submitted within established timeframes. Serves as the
ADA Coordinator for assigned area knows where the appropriate
auxiliary aids are stored and how to operate them. Responsible for
ensuring the maintenance, repair, replacement, and distribution of
such aids. Additionally, the ADA Coordinator is responsible for
working with the Human Resources & People Development Departments
to ensure that all Care Partners within assigned functional area
are trained on the auxiliary aids and services described in the
Communications with Sensory Impaired or Language Barrier Patients
policy. CARE PARTNER ENGAGEMENT | PEOPLE Manages systems,
processes, policies, and procedures that result in an inclusive,
collaborative, healing work environment within which national
best/leading-practice standards for employee engagement are
achieved as measured by effective performance management,
problem-solving and conflict resolution, training and onboarding
new care partners, mentoring aspiring care partners; and inspiring
Care Partner commitment to our mission, vision, values, and safe
care pledge. Trains in collaboration with the people development
team and assigned leads, new staff to include completing annual
performance evaluations along with making recommendations for
personnel actions. May be required to develop and conduct programs
for enhancing onboarding processes. Maintains skills and knowledge
within professional practice of self and assure same among all Care
Partners within assigned functional area; able to step in and serve
as back up to assigned Care Partners to cover staffing needs as
necessary. COMMUNITY INVESTMENT | FINANCE Manages systems,
processes, policies, and procedures that result in effective
planning and administration of annual budget(s); productive, cost
efficient and effective operations within assigned functional area;
and effective corrective actions for any operating expenses that
deviate from budget. Manages and oversees financial responsibility
and functions for assigned administrative care partners who are
responsible for front desk collections, obtaining authorizations
and verifying all demographics are collected appropriately at time
of service. Effectively communicates with the inpatient and or
hospital needed services to support collaboration of patient care,
and or surgical services that need to be scheduled. Performs other
duties as assigned. Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and
regulations as pertains to the work area. Requirements: Formal
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates
or other advanced degree strongly preferred. Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in an Office Management capacity preferred. 5
years to Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:
Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus. Lean Six Sigma Green
Belt Certification within one year of employment. Full Time
