Controller Location: Lakeview Health Direct Supervisor: Chief
Executive Officer Job Summary: Serves as a member of the leadership
team. Provides leadership and coordination to the Finance
department and is responsible for the strategic planning and
execution of their operations. Responsible for the daily, monthly,
and year-end responsibility for all facets of the Finance
department, including and in accordance with GAAP standards.
Responsible for the financial and statistical reporting for the
Company and all associated facilities. Effectively manages
relationships with department heads with the ability to partner
effectively to attain organizations' objectives. Participates in
performance improvement and continuous quality improvement
activities. Competencies: Demonstrates excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail. Ability to interact and communicate
effectively with all levels of an organization. Demonstrates
attention to detail with the highest level of confidentiality.
Proficient planning, timemanagementand decision-making skills.
Demonstrates an ability to be flexible,organizedand function under
stressful situations. Demonstrates knowledge of the facility's
history, mission, services, and organizational structure. Main
Duties and Responsibilities: Determineshort-term and long-term
goals fordepartmentin order tobe consistent with organizational
plans. With guidance fromRegionalCFO, formulatestrategyto achieve
projected goals for the company and department. Assume day to
day,monthand year-end responsibility for allfacetsof the Finance
function including andin accordance withGAAP & GAAS standards,
including but not limited to: Management of themonthly close
process Internal control development and maintenance Responsible
for providing supervision, leadership, and guidance to
theFinancedepartment. Supports and empowers staff to embrace the
mission and value statements of the organization. Gather, organize,
and analyze data from various sources tofacilitatethe review of
corporate operations and facility performance,including
fromBusiness Intelligence software, CRM, and ERP systems, as well
as public orpurchasedindustry data. Prepareaccuratemonthly
financial reports,assistin the preparation of presentations that
provide thoughtful analysis,identifyaction items, and effectively
frame decisions that need to be made. Work in conjunction
withCorporate Financeon variance analysis on site level
financialson a monthly basis. Identifyand research variances to
forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses,
proactivelyidentifyingopportunities for improvement,
reforecastingthroughout the year as needed.
Providetimelyandaccurateanalysis of budgets, financial reports, and
financial trends toassistother senior executives in performing
their responsibilities. Safeguardassets
andassureaccurateandtimelyrecording of all transactions by
implementing disciplines of internal audits,controlsand checks
across all departments. Assure financial plans are consistent with
organizational goals. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: At least five (5) years’ experience in a Controller
position or similar role. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Must have a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills
with excellent written and oral communication to present financial
information to department heads, clinical personnel without a
financial background, and the CEO. Strong knowledge of Microsoft
Office products, especially Excel. Education: Bachelor’s degree
required. Active CPA license strongly preferred. Physical Demands:
