Medical Assistant Location: Lakeland, FL Agency: Pride Health Pay: $21 to $23 per hour Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility, located in Lakeland, FL 33609. This is a 3 month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job title: Medical Assistant Location: Lakeland, FL 33609 Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 13 weeks contract Contract Pay: $20 - $23./ HR On W2 Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Specific Duties: Perform duties within the scope of Medical Assistant practice Operate diagnostic equipment (no test interpretation) Perform EKGs and quality control checks on equipment Collect specimens via noninvasive techniques Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection Remove staples from superficial wounds Change wound dressings and obtain cultures Administer non-intravenous medications Room patients and prepare them for examinations Accurately document patient information in the medical record Coordinate patient care per physician direction and company policies Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire) Knowledge of medical terminology Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills About Pride Health Pride Health is Pride Global's healthcare staffing branch, providing recruitment solutions for healthcare professionals and the industry at large since 2010.
