Job Description Join Our Jacksonville,FL Team as a Hospital Medicine Physician– A Role Designed for You Bring better to the bedside in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you’ll combine clinical skill with purpose, delivering patient-centered care and driving performance in a supportive environment. You’ll have the autonomy to lead and the resources to grow—while making a difference for patients and families every day. We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. Local Team Collaboration: - Join our close-knit team of 33 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs) at UF Health Jacksonville and UF Health Jacksonville North. - Collaborate with dedicated clinical performance nurses and work closely with a wide array of specialists, case managers, and nurses. - Be part of a Level I tertiary facility, where we engage in daily interdisciplinary meetings with key departments to optimize patient care. Qualifications: - Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine. - Valid Florida medical license (or ability to obtain). - Experience in a hospitalist or inpatient setting is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. - H1B and J1 candidates invited to apply; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts; all required filing fees for the visa are paid and services covered Scheduling: - Enjoy flexible scheduling for work-life balance and time with family or personal interests. - Our team supports one another by covering shifts when colleagues are out, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities: - As a hospitalist, you will handle complex cases in a closed ICU, with intensivist coverage during the day and night. - You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care without the expectation of doing procedures or running codes. - Collaborate with case management, nursing, and pharmacy to improve patient outcomes and streamline care.
