Position OverviewSeeking a Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgical
Pathologist to join a high-volume subspecialty practice within the
Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology.This role offers a
strong blend of clinical diagnostics, academic engagement, and
optional research focus, within a collaborative,
subspecialty-driven pathology group. Position Highlights Dedicated
GI / liver pathology subspecialty service Work within a large,
collaborative anatomic pathology group All partners are general
surgical pathologists with subspecialty expertise Opportunity to
engage in: Clinical diagnostics Teaching and academic work Research
and scholarly activity Clinical Responsibilities GI and
hepatobiliary surgical pathology interpretation Participation in:
Frozen section service On-call coverage Collaboration with
multidisciplinary clinical teams Strong emphasis on diagnostic
accuracy and communication Academic & Research Opportunities
Academic appointment through Mayo Clinic College of Medicine
Opportunities to participate in: Teaching (residents, fellows,
learners) Clinical research and scholarly activity Optional
Clinician Engaged in Research (CER) track: 30% protected research
time (3-year commitment) Support for development of externally
funded research programs Collaboration with: Oncology programs
