Titusville, FL is looking for a line cook to join our team at our
Brix Store location at 5220 S Washington Ave, downtown Titusville.
Status - Part Time Job Summary The Line Cook will provide chefs the
timely and quality preparation of foods using a variety of
equipment and utensils in an effort to continuously operate a busy
restaurant. He / She will also maintain the cooking environment in
a clean and safe manner and take on various culinary tasks as they
arise. This position will function with initial guidance from the
Kitchen Manager and Assistant Kitchen Manager. Essential Functions
• Follow all specifications to properly and efficiently cook all
food items to high quality, taste, and presentation standards,
including accommodation to guests' special requests, w thin
specified time limits. • Responsible for checking and maintaining
proper temperatures throughout preparation, cooling, holding, and
serving of food items including adjusting thermostat controls to
regulate temperatures in accordance with HAACP • Inform the
supervisors of supplies that need to be procured. • Inform the
supervisors of any foreseeable shortages before food items run out.
• Clean and organizes work stations and surrounding areas, as
necessary, in a safe and sanitary manner • To follow all company/
kitchen safety rules, policies, and procedures. • Strict adherence
to health department and food handling guidelines • Maintain
regular and consistent attendance and punctuality with, or without,
reasonable accommodation. Additional Functions • Washes and cleans
raw food products. • Cuts or portions meat, fish, and poultry. •
Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients, tools and
supplies • Adjusts to high pressure situations and is open to
change. • Conducts themselves (acts & dresses) professionally at
all times with respect for all team members and customers • Assists
in food prep assignments during off peak hours, as needed • Assists
others in closing duties (including dishwashers) • Other duties as
assigned by Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager or Shift
Leader Required Skill • 6 months experience in a full, "from
scratch" kitchen environment Preferred • Multi-tasking,
reliability, & attention to detail • Strong communication skills
(verbally interacts with supervisors & team members.) • Must be
able to operate basic kitchen equipment in a safe manner • Ability
to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively
under pressure. • Problem solving abilities and works very well
with others Educational Requirements • State-approved food service
employee training program certification preferred Physical
Requirements • Ability to work in a standing position for extended
periods of time. • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently
lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. •
Ability to work in an environment where you will be exposed to
heat, cold, steam, etc. • Frequently washing own hands and manual
