Our advocacy business assists individuals dealing with disabling medical condition and who are no longer able to work. At Brown & Brown, you will be part of a team of experienced advocates helping clients you the SSDI benefits they are entitled to. Applying for Social Security Disability can be a long and complicated process and our team of experienced advocates are there to help clients every step of the way.

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic teammates to join our team as a SSDI Benefit Coordinator.


The Benefit Coordinator is responsible for providing customer service, education and coordination of SSDI benefits for awarded claimants. This role reviews award information to ensure timeliness of payment and benefit accuracy. Communication with the Social Security branches is key to gather and/or provide all necessary information to process awarded claims. This team also manages incoming correspondence and administrative duties related to the award process. The Benefit Coordinator works within our service level agreements to ensure client satisfaction.


* Full time (40 hrs), Monday-Friday 9am-6pm * Hybrid REMOTE schedule through 2021 * Office is located at Brown and Brown's New State-of-Art Daytona Beach Street Campus


* Review award information to ensure timeliness of payment and benefit accuracy. * Engage with Social Security branches to gather and/or provide all necessary information to process awarded claims. * Communicate with clients to educate and provide information about their Social Security Disability benefits * Manage incoming correspondence, emails, and phone calls related to the awards process. * Other duties as assigned.


* BS or equivalent; a minimum of 2 years work experience, working in an insurance or benefit claim organization. * Excellent organizational and communications skills (oral and written), ability to manage projects independently, and pursue multiple objectives simultaneously. * Must have extensive experience and be skilled in the use of programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Reports directly to Manager, Post Awards * Partner with Client Services and Account Services departments to ensure a smooth transition for the claimant
