Job Description:
Halifax Health is seeking a Contracts Coordinator for the
Purchasing Department.The Contract Coordinator ensures accuracy of
information in the automated Materials Management contract database
which includes but is not limited to, entry of new contract
information, verification of existing information and deletion of
obsolete information. Acts as custodian and gatekeeper of contract
files. Ensures data integrity by monitoring all product pricing
discrepancies through review of EDI and faxed purchase order.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Three years experience in healthcare Materials Management
emphasizing experience in purchasing and contracting is
required.
- Excellent written and verbal skills required along with
outstanding negotiating and analytical skills. Proficiency in use
of Excel, Word and Materials Management software required.
- Ensures data integrity of information in MM database.
- Reviews Novation contract launch packages and follows through
with contract implementations.
- Negotiates individual contracts for HCHS. Monitors contract
compliance.
- Utilizes Marketplace@Novation Contract Information System to
research applicable contracts.
- Documents annualized cost savings in Excel spreadsheet
format.
- Works with Accounts payable and vendors to resolve invoicing
