Florida is seeking a highly motivated and skilled
physician/clinical investigator to join our team to lead a celiac
disease clinical and research program. This position offers a
unique opportunity to contribute to patient care, research, and
education in the field of celiac disease and intestinal immunology.
As a physician at Mayo Clinic, you will work in a collaborative and
innovative environment, providing exceptional care to patients
while advancing the understanding and treatment of celiac disease,
intestinal immunology and nutrition. Start-up and ongoing core
funds and protected time are available to support research
activities. Responsibilities : Clinical Assessment and Management:
• Evaluate and manage patients with celiac disease. • Provide
evidence-based, patient-centered care, considering the unique needs
of each individual. • Collaborate with gastroenterologists,
surgeons, nutritionists, immunologists and other specialists to
optimize patient outcomes. Clinical Research: • Submit for intra
and extramural research grants in celiac disease • Engage in
clinical research related to celiac, including participation in
clinical trials and observational studies. Partner with biomedical
research collaborators to advance knowledge of autoimmune diseases
at that affect intestinal epithlium. • Contribute to the
development of new treatment strategies and protocols. • Publish
research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at
conferences. Education and Mentorship: • Educate medical students,
residents, and fellows on celiac disease management. • Serve as a
mentor to trainees interested in gastroenterology and celiac
disease. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: • Work closely with
nursing staff, social workers, pharmacists, and other healthcare
professionals to provide comprehensive care. • Collaborate with
colleagues across specialties to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications • Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible
in Gastroenterology and be eligible for a Florida state
license.
